Taryn and Ty’s Rosewood Mayakoba Wedding Photography

I love photographing elopements and small intimate Riviera Maya weddings. A couple decides to escape their busy lives, go off to a little piece of paradise and have one of the most romantic times of their lives. What’s not to love about that?
… And secretly, it might be that this is the way I envision my wedding. Small, intimate with close friends and family in a beautiful place where I get to spend as much time with my love as I do with all my guests. Thank god Anna agrees with me as I can see us having under 15 guests at our wedding in a beautiful place in Europe surrounded by close friends and family. Then the reality of starting to invite people happens and…

Back to Taryn and Ty, who had the choose the beautiful Rosewood Mayakoba Riviera Maya to get married. The Rosewood Mayakoba is one of our signature resorts on the coast and offers amazing quality and service, so I was honored to be photographing my first wedding at the resort.

Taryn decided found her amazing dress on Etsy from an Australian Shop called Grace Loves Lace. Absolutely beautiful dress that fit her personality perfectly, while at the same time supporting a smaller designer.

When we asked Taryn what was her favorite part of the day, we got the this amazing answer: “The best part of my day was the actual moment of looking into each others eyes as we said our vows. You think so much about what those moments will be like, but nothing prepares you for the actual moment you are there. Just seeing the overwhelming emotion and happiness in each other’s faces and knowing it was something just between the two of us was amazing. I will never forget those moments.”

Last but not least, the photographs. My goal was to have Taryn and Ty looking natural and happy in their  Wedding Photographs, almost as if I was not there. Enjoying their day and looking natural in this magical place the Mayan’s inhabited over 2000 years ago. I hope you enjoy viewing Taryn and Ty’s Rosewood Mayakoba wedding photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them.
