Tulum Wedding at Villa Sombras del Viento, Soliman Bay

Sometimes, the Mayan Gods have a funny way of giving us a wedding gift. And the Gods above Sobras del Viento villa in Soliman Bay,  Tulum certainly had a gift for Megan and Patrick’s wedding. Sometimes, like in this case, it’s not the gift they were hoping for…. and it rained. It rain started just as Megan and her father were walking down the aisle. But there was no turning back as it was time to get married and everyone made the best of the situation and enjoyed the (warm) rain.

And I do have to say, it made for some amazing moments. Moments that this couple will never forget and thanks to Adrian’s ability to stick it out in the rain, they will have these memories from their wedding for a lifetime.

Unfortunately, due to the rain, they kind of looked like wet dogs when it came to the portraits session on the beach. Not good… So we made the best of the situation and Adrian, as well as the team from Styling Trio, went back to Villa Sombras del Viento a few days later and to get those beautiful portraits along the white sand beaches. And gosh did the photographs turn out amazing!

And Megan agreed. Here is an email she sent after receiving the photographs.

We wanted to let you know (and please pass along to Adrian) that we absolutely LOVE the final images. The wedding day was quite challenging with the weather and the change in venue for the dinner, it ended up sort of a crazy mess but Adrian just rolled with it and captured some amazingly happy moments. We look back at the photos and see all smiles, people just having fun – which was very reassuring (haha) after the rain and mess that came with it – it ended up NOT being a typical reception
What was most important to us in choosing the photographer was to capture some beautiful shots of Patrick and me that we could be proud to frame and keep forever – Adrian nailed it! He has an incredible talent and we are thrilled with the results – we have exactly the photos we imagined.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
