Stephanie and Erich’s Underwater Trash the Dress
A couple of days after Stephanie and Erich’s wedding at the Grand Sunset Princess, we captured these trash the dress shots after I headed down the coast with them to one of my secret cenotes in Riviera Maya, Mexico. I knew it had been a good day at the time, but only when I edited the photos did I realize just how spectacular they really were!
My favorite shot is the one where Erich has his arms crossed and looks kind of mad, and the one of them surrounded by fish with a little bit of cloudiness at their feet, and the one of Stephanie from above where she looks like she has just woken from a dream with the amazing rays of light behind her. Honestly, there are so many great shots it’s hard for me to choose! I know Stephanie and Eric will treasure these trash the dress photos forever.
On the way back, we stopped at the world’s greatest taco stand, which is basically a shack on a patch of beaten dirt with chickens clucking around at your feet. As usual, we needed some refueling after all of our hard work. This is another thing I love about these shoots: being able to share authentic glimpses into daily life in this part of the country with my clients. A magical part of “real Mexico” that is often elusive and hard to experience.
